Applications are open for the 14th ASEF Journalists Seminar 2024 in Hungary. ASEF stands for the Asia and Europe Foundation. The Foundation has come up with another fully funded opportunity for Journalists from 51 ASEM partner countries. The ASEFJS program held every two years (biennially) brings together journalists from Asia and Europe. The seminar aims to promote the media networks in Asia and Europe and build a better understanding between the Journalists from Asia and Europe. The ASEF organizers will cover all the costs.
The Seminar will run from 9 Sep 2024 to 12 Sep 2024 in Hungary. It is an opportunity that promotes connections and networks between Asian and European media professionals. The ASEFJS supports Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 16, which seeks to “promote peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development. The 14th ASEF Seminar (ASEFJS14) will tackle the challenge of the advent of AI in journalism. More details are given below.

ASEF and Danube Institute in Budapest will cover the following expenses for successful applicants in Hungary:
- Seminar fees, including lecture fees, administrative fees, and course materials.
- Accommodation for the duration of the course.
- Return Airfare from home country to Hungary.

Theme of the Seminar
ASEFJS14 will tackle the challenge of the advent of AI in journalism. AI and Digital Journalism: Opportunities and Challenges.

Eligibility Criteria
- Citizen of 51 ASEM partner countries.
- Journalist with at least two years of experience
- Under 35 years of age
- Proficient in English
- In good health
- Prepared to participate actively in the seminar.
