• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or higher.
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in trouble shooting, repair and maintenance of steel industry mechanical machinery and equipment, preferably (it will be a differentiator) in Electric Arc Furnace (EAF), Continuous Billet Casting (CCM) and Reinforcement Bar Mill (Rebar Mill).
• Minimum of 3 years’ specific experience with Mechanical Reliability Engineering, which must include practical application of the RCM methodology in steel industry machinery and equipment.

• At least graduateof a 3-year Technical Course in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical or Industrial Technology or its equivalent. 
• At least 3 years’ work experience in inspection, testing and analytical instruments.
• Good communication skills, laboratory equipment operation skills, dexterity to handle measuring instruments and devices, good mathematical, analytical and organizational skills, decisiveness and sound judgement and computer literate.
• Monitors and do verification of laboratory equipment and report any abnormalities or irregularities.
• Conduct periodic inventory of chemicals, instrument parts, supplies and other consumables.
• Coordinates closely with the production personnel for any abnormalities or irregularities found on produced steel bars.
•  Immediately feedback to the production the status or disposition of samples tested.
• Records daily quality results
• Compiles data and generate reports.
• Ensures compliance to ISO-9001, ISO-14001, ISO-45001, and ISO/IEC 17025 requirements.

• At least graduate of a 3-year Technical Course in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical or Industrial Technology or its equivalent.

• Adequate knowledge in troubleshooting of Siemens PLC S7 400.
• Adequate knowledge in troubleshooting and repair of DC Motors and Drives.
• Adequate knowledge in troubleshooting and repair of AC motors and controls particularly in VVVF drives as well as other related electrical equipment.
• Adequate knowledge of Preventive, Predictive and Corrective Maintenance.
• Adequate knowledge in various management skills i.e. planning, problem solving and decision making.
• Adequate knowledge in Computer

• Proficiency in troubleshooting electronic equipment and systems
• Familiarity with SCADA systems, HMI design, and data analysis tools
• Effective communication skills to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders

• Ensures compliance to documented ISO-9001, 14001 and OHSAS 18001 Integrated Management System requirements.
• Complies with company rules and regulations.
• Complies with the Operation Manuals of all Finishing End Area equipment and sub-units (CB Rakes, Roller Tables, Cold Shears, Transferring and Collection Devices, Counting Bed table, Bundling and Weighing Units, etc.) to ensure productive, efficient and safe operation.
• Monitors all sections of the Finishing End Area to prevent stoppages cause by undershoot and overshoot of bars, bar spreading, bent bars, bar misalignment, bar overlaps, bar stuck, short bars, bar looping, etc. Removes remnant tails of bars after cold shear cutting cycles, if any.
• Performs bundle tagging and ocular inspection in the bundles for short bar inclusion and/or presence of oil stains and other bar defects. Secures that no bundle is lifted by the overhead crane unless inspected for compliance.
• Performs in-process testing and inspection of rebar based on documented procedures. Obtains rebar samples for QA mechanical testing. Coordinates with Pulpit Operator and/or Cold Shear Operators regarding cut length, bar appearance and other operational concern feedbacks.

• Basic Knowledge in CNC Programming

• Encodes and downloads the required mill operational parameters in the Roll Master program.
• Operates the mill control system at main pulpit from roughing mill to bar switch.

• Performing all the activities related to scrap car transferring, scrap preparation, material addition in the bucket, material arrangement purging exercise, and preheating activity.
• Performing the visual inspection of the shell bottom, temperature measurement, EBT flapper monitoring (during closing).
• Fire watch of surroundings (Roof gantry, Tilting Cylinders, settling chamber and materials area) during EAF process and tapping.
• They are reporting to EAF supervisor for material issuances as per the stock availability at the shop floor.
• Perform cleaning of rail tracks, scrap car, ladle car scrap charging area, tapping pit trench, electrode stands, and walkways.

• Complying with Kuwait Steel policies, HSE Management System and Integrated Management System (ISO9001/14001/45001)
• Executing Health, Safety and Environment plans in the workplace according to HSE standard, company and country rules and legal regulations
• Achieving and maintaining company HS&E targets, objectives and Preserving and protecting Kuwait Steel lives

• Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting and repair techniques in Heavy Equipment
• Knowledge of electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Effective communication skills for collaboration and reporting
• Physical fitness for working with electrical systems and equipment

• Carrying-out daily shift activities and follow-through the problems. 
• Inspection of electrical-related systems, preparing the reports and reporting any abnormality observed to the higher levels and recording it in the log book. 
• Proper maintenance of Automation System and updating the knowledge in PLCs, Drives (VVVF and DC drives) and other devices, software back-up taking, proper safekeeping and uploading / downloading programs to the related equipment and maintaining these systems well. 
• Attending breakdowns and minimizing delays and unplanned shutdowns and conducts delay analysis with the help of Real –Time measuring systems and making necessary steps to reduce the delay. 
• Monitoring and reviews regularly downtime incurred during operation; evaluates and determines possible causes of such, and draws plan to minimize or prevent its occurrence. 
• Following rules & regulations of the company such as annual company leave, medical leave, working hours, shift schedule, off days and safety instructions and also following the rules of the Authority / Ministry.

• Look after general safety and housekeeping.  
• The employee shall preserve with utmost care the good working condition of all company property within and outside of his area.  
• Report any incident happened during each shift.  
• Feeding sufficient quantity of materials each shift.  
• Perform daily safety and maintenance checks, reporting any abnormality or requirement for maintenance repair.  

• Carry-out pre-operation inspection / check list, equipment trials and

• Preparation and readiness of LF, equipment’s and auxiliary units for
• operation, including process parameter loading.
• Performing all the activities related to heat process: ladle receiving,
• purging activity, heating, alloy additions, trimming, slag control,
• sampling / temp activity and heat lifting for caster as per the
• process flow chart / process standard.

• Carrying out maintenance activities (preventive and corrective maintenance) as per SAP work order and giving back proper feedback.
• Inspection of responsible/allocated area equipment, reporting any abnormality to the higher level and recording it in the logbook and checklists in SAP.
• Correcting the identified abnormalities under the supervision of the superior.
• Attending breakdowns, minimizing delays and unplanned shutdowns.
• Implementing & following the instructions from the management.
• Coordinating with other departments and working as a team.
• Carrying out daily shift activities and following through with the problems.
• Proper maintenance of equipment/facilities and carrying out repair works and keeping spares ready.

• Bachelor’s degree in economics, finance or supply chain management
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in sourcing commodities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP
• Mastery in vendor sourcing practices, market research, and contract negotiation
• Understanding of supply chain procedures and quality standards
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

• Bachelor’s degree in metallurgy.
• 5 to 7 years experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management, preferably in the steel industry and scrap metal sourcing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for effective supplier and stakeholder management.
• Proficiency in using procurement software, data analysis tools, and Microsoft Office suite.
• Familiarity with regulatory and compliance aspects of raw material procurement.
• Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and make strategic decisions accordingly.
