• Carry out work assignments with the highest level of service delivery.
• Participates in all daily operations & safety meetings, toolbox, Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) and reports any issues promptly using the appropriate tools.
• Responsible for operating and maintaining MWD/LWD surface systems and down hole tools at rig site.
• Interpret down hole data and liaise with directional drillers, company men and geologists.
• Generate client deliverables including logs, las and reports daily.
• Perform quality checks on Final Client Deliverables and distribute to client.
• Proactive communication with both rig crew and client personnel.
• Must be able to fulfil Senior Field Engineer role as and when required.
• Understands basic rig operations.
• Responsible for rigging up and rigging down surface equipment at rig sites.
• Responsible for supervising, mentoring & on the job training of MLWD FE I & II.
• Perform various other duties assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.
• Must be able to travel domestically and internationally and work both onshore and offshore.

• Minimally 2-3+ years related experience
• High School diploma (or Secondary School Diploma or equivalent) as minimum. 
• Preferred 2 years College degree
• Reports to: Demand Planning Manager, Operations Supervisor, Operations Manager, Maintenance Manager
• MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
• Ability to understand hydraulic schematics.
• English language – Speaking and writing.

• Has responsibility for assisting with the development of reliability-based maintenance strategy, based on preventive and predictive maintenance for the product line equipment.
• Work directly with the Maintenance Manager to build a reliable system and maintenance team.
• Works with Repair and Maintenance Technicians to schedule workload.
• Primarily activity is at workshop, troubleshooting, repairing, refurbishing, implementing mandatory modifications and executing and/or planning preventive and corrective maintenance of field equipment and tools, helping to mitigate assets related non-productive time and improve overall field service delivery performance.

• Prepare accurate tickets, job reports, time sheets, and other administrative forms as required.
• Assist in job safety analysis, job coordination and job installation with WFT supervisor and customer on location.
• Verify all necessary equipment and supplies are on location and in proper working condition.
• Perform all duties of a SES Service Technician II.
• Learn the operation and routine maintenance requirements of all solid expandable services equipment.
• Learn the maintenance procedures as they relate to solid expandable service equipment.
• Independently operate and perform basic troubleshooting and minor repair of solid expandable service equipment.
• Assist in pre-job safety meeting.
• Available on a 24 hour basis to respond to customer needs.

• Ensure Weatherford OEPS Facility Safety standard is implemented on all base facilities and staff houses
• Manage subcontractor activities at base to ensure compliance with Weatherford applicable policies and procedures
• Collaborate / Manage / Control with the PL OM’s on location on sharing resources (Forklifts, Overhead cranes, Pressure Test bays etc.)
• Monitor Preventive/Predictive maintenance activities for all major and minor shop components. (Overhead Cranes, forklifts, PT bays)
• Track, report and publish monthly utilities consumption at base
• Track and confirm that all necessary base operating licenses and certifications required by local legislation are in place and valid
• Deal with Civil Defense & Environment local authorities on the implementation of their requirement
• Manage transport fleet and carpool (Vehicles allocations, applicable Gate Passes validity check, Vehicle Maintenance monitoring, Journey Management System, IVMS Management, Vehicle Inspections etc.)
• Work as Permit To Work approver for hazardous activities carried out at base
• Support country HSE team in implementing the day-to-day activities related to HSE.Prepare the monthly area allocations for all PLs, Shared services and communicate the same with Finance.
• Prepare monthly report of utilities usage, monthly spend, spares and consumables and forecasted spend
• Prepare summary of Repair vs Replacement Cost of facility equipment and submit to Country Director and MENA Facility Manager
• Waste reduction plan implementation as described in annual Facility Environmental Improvement Plan (FEIP)
• Working within the FEIP provide evidenced sustainability actions to achieve a 02% annual combine reduction from waste / water / energy / Life support / consumables and spares but must not impact / impair operations or the health, safety and wellbeing of staff and TPW
• Ensure HSE competency is maintained by Base Facilities staff to execute their role e.g. Working At Height, Manual Handling, Welding and Cutting, Electrical Repair and Maintenance, LOTO etc
