• Undertake patient consultations and physical examinations, assessment and plan treatment requirements through clinics at a minimum of 4-5 time per week including evening clinic.  
• Conduct CPET and provide consultation for patients through weekly clinics
• Liaise with other doctors, healthcare professionals and non-medical staff to administer effective treatment of diabetes in the context of clinical care and  research
• Write detailed patient reports and records; ensure accuracy and up to date status of records, medical reports, discharge summaries and all required
• Participate and lend expertise, advice in working groups/committees that contribute to the DDI mission, vision and values
• Ensure confidentiality of patient data obtained through clinics and research studies
• Develop policies & procedures for clinical care and clinical research unit
• Develop leaflets, patient’s awareness materials and promotions
• Performs all other relevant duties as assigned

• Prior published research in the forms of articles and conference or other outputs
• Excellent communication skills including presentation skills
• Commitment to excellence in research and within professional and ethical code of conduct
• Ability to work independently as well as part of collaborative teams
• Must be fluent in Arabic and English

• Formulating new research projects to address priority areas within the DDI’s research strategy.
• Preparing research proposals for funding by DDI and other funding sources, as applicable.
• Preparing manuscripts for submission to peer-reviewed journals, based on completed research projects, and other documents as requested by the unit head.
• Contributing to the implementation of ongoing research projects within the unit.
• Collaborate across units in research projects with both in-house members and members from other institutions to promote high standard scientific development and communication.
• Responsible for literature reviews and proposal writing.
• Responsible for data management and supervise data entry.
• Write policies and procedures.
• Experience in trials administrator.
• Any other relevant duty as assigned by the team.

• Interview patients with type 1 diabetes who are on pump and referred to join DAFNE program.
• Deliver DAFNE courses for patients with type 1 diabetes on insulin pumps.
• Deliver refresh courses and workshops post DAFNE for patients and healthcare professionals.
• Follow up with DAFNE graduates through the annual visit and run clinics on daily basis.
• Maintains accurate patient records by updating patient information in DAFNE system.
• Provide education related to diabetes and the disease process, medication, diet, prevention and care of complications, self-monitoring, and pump monitoring/ fine tuning as well as continuous glucose monitoring system.
• Educate patients on the functionality and use of pumps.
• Identify trends related to patient inquiries and provide regular feedback to management as needed.
• Patient Communication: includes both written and verbal communication with patients: i.e., via phone, email, text messages and/or website chat.
• Resolves problems by clarifying the patient’s complaint; determining the cause of the problem; selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem; expediting the correction or adjustment; following up to ensure resolution.
• Provide outstanding support to patients and  clinics with a strong focus on satisfaction and efficiency.
• Maintain high levels of patient satisfaction by providing timely and accurate responses.
• Gathers and reviews information provided by patient or referral source. Inputs accurate and complete patient information in database systems.
• Provide ongoing assessment and recommendations to the multidisciplinary team and patient for adjustments, interventions and plans including recommendations and goals, progress notes.
• Create and/or edit product knowledge documentation such as Help Center articles.
• Handle logistics and shipping inquiries.
• Deliver training for educators, healthcare professionals either in Kuwait or abroad as necessary.
• Collaborate with doctors/ medical specialists to evaluate the program annually.
• Assist and contribute to the development and assessment of policies and procedures of the DAFNE unit.
• Communicates and coordinates with internal departments.
• Troubleshoot and thoroughly research technical issues and escalate bugs to internal teams appropriately.
• Participate in additional projects within the support team or cross-functionally as needed.
• Participate in research from recruitment of participants, ethics, study documentation preparation, data collection, data entry, and data analysis
• Maintain active involvement in internal and external research activities, including the publishing of articles and manuscripts in reputed journals, deliver posters and oral presentations at local, regional, and international symposiums and conferences.
• Any other relevant duty as assigned by the team and all other duties assigned by the supervisor.

• Explain and enforce safety rules and regulations for use of exercise equipment and all MFC facilities (including the swimming pool) as well as participating in group exercise classes.
• Perform fitness assessment and design exercise prescription for members.
• Evaluate members ‘ abilities, needs, limitations, medical condition, and design appropriate exercise programs to meet any special requirements.
• Observe members during their exercise sessions and instruct them on proper form and technique to avoid injuries.
• Instruct members on how to maximize benefit from exercise routines based on member goals, as well as their medical condition, overall fitness level and general wellbeing.
•  Design, plan and lead safe and effective group exercise classes and aqua classes.
• Monitor member progress and adapt exercise program as needed.
• Keep daily members records to document their vital signs, progress, as well as other pertinent notes and details.
• Participate in in-house and out-reach health promotion activities as assigned by supervisor in order to emphasize the importance of leading a healthy lifestyle.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor and MFC Manager.

• 03 years in nursing field 
• Certification/experience in Diabetes management and care is a plus
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association
• Basic computer skills
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (optional)
• English, Arabic is a plus

• 8 years relevant nursing with broad range of clinical nursing experience.
• 2 years Senior Nurse level experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association or equivalent.
• Experience of Quality Improvement, Clinical Audit and Service evaluation.
• Experience of data analysis, report writing and presentation of findings.
• Excellent IT/computer skills (Microsoft packages/EHR) & presentation skills.
• Supervisory & Leadership skills.
• Good team working/leadership skills with ability to motivate others and work independently.
• Excellent organizational, time management/prioritising skills/ ability to work under pressure.
• Experience in teaching and research processes.
• Demonstrable problem solving and change management skills.
• Evidence of continued academic and/or professional development.
• Preferrable experience in quality management, quality assurance, infection control.
• Desirable qualification – advance QI training and project management.
