#Internal Auditor:

Alahlia Insurance Co. Ltd is a Sudanese insurance company established in 2020. We are looking for #internal #auditor with 6 years of experience. The Internal Auditor, or IA, will be responsible for keeping the board of directors informed regarding the company’s executive management team compliance with financial regulations and industry rules. His/her duties include studying accounting records, preparing compliance reports and supervising company workflows.

Internal Auditor duties and responsibilities
Internal Auditors use skills in organization and project management to better understand the record-keeping processes of the company, while also offering recommendations for improvement. IA will have the following responsibilities:
• Prepare and execute scheduled audits including planning, preparation, execution, reporting and follow-up in accordance with accepted professional
• Evaluate financial documents for accuracy and compliance with industry regulations and Sharia regulations.
• Identify the financial risk of the organization and offer recommendations to reduce risk.
• Identify accounting and financial record-keeping processes that can be improved
• Determine ways to cut costs and improve profitability
• Assess the efficiency and productivity of internal staff and make recommendations for improvement
• Evaluate workflows and procedures and make sure they follow company’s policies.
• Present findings to upper management in the form of reports and presentations
• Develop audit objectives, plans, and scope by reviewing available information and conducting research
• Help design, implement, and maintain internal audit procedures and risk assessment processes
• Prepare audit findings, write audit reports, and develop recommendations
• Stay current on insurance industry trends, and best accounting and audit practices
• Ensure accuracy of financial information
• Follow up on audit recommendations and review external auditor’s remarks and pass it to the board of directors.
• Willingness to travel to other cities within Sudan to conduct audit visits.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• ACCA, CPA, CMA or equivalent is an advantage
• Minimum of 6 years experience in financial accounting, auditing, or a combination thereof, preferably in insurance companies accounting
• Strong understanding of accounting, insurance and banking laws, regulations, and internal controls
• Sound understanding of audit theories, principles, and practices
• Strong computer skills; Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook
