Commonwealth Shared Scholarship 2024/25, UK (Fully Funded)

The Commonwealth Shared Scholarship is fully funded in one of three master’s programs offered by the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission. The three master’s programs are MA, MSc, and MLitt. The applications are open for the Commonwealth Shared Scholarship 2024/25. Eligible applicants will apply to approved courses and approved universities for a Commonwealth shared scholarship. The scholarship duration is normally 12 months.
This scholarship is only for Master’s courses and not for undergraduate or PhD study. For PhD scholarships in the UK, you can apply for the Commonwealth Split Site PhD Scholarship program. All the expenses will be covered. Commonwealth Shared Scholarships are jointly funded by the CSC and participating UK universities. More details about the (CSSS) are given below.

Approved Courses and Universities for Commonwealth Shared Scholarships 2024
Applicants must apply to any three master’s degree programs (MA, MSc, and MLitt) in an approved master’s course at a participating UK university.
Scholarship Benefits
- Approved airfare from the scholar’s home country to the UK and then return from the UK to the home country.
- Approved tuition fees: full fees are covered
- Stipend (living allowance) at the rate of £1,347 per month,
- or £1,652 per month for those at universities in the London metropolitan area (rates quoted at current levels).
- Warm clothing allowance, where applicable.
- Study-related travel grant within the UK or overseas.
- If a scholar is widowed, divorced, or a single parent, a child allowance of £576.61 per month for the first child and £143 per month for the second

Supporting Documents
All documents must be submitted online.
- Proof that they are a citizen or have refugee status in an eligible Commonwealth country
- Proof of your identity is a valid passport (or national ID card) showing a photograph, date of birth, and country of citizenship.
- Full transcripts detailing all higher education qualifications

Applicants Eligibility
- Be a citizen of or have refugee status from one of the countries listed above.
- Be permanently resident in an eligible Commonwealth country.
- By September 2024, hold an undergraduate degree of at least upper second-class (2:1) honors standard or a lower second-class degree and a relevant postgraduate qualification (usually a Master’s degree).
- Be available to start academic study in the UK in September 2024.
- Have not studied or worked for more than one academic year or more in a high-income country
- Unable to afford to study in the UK without this scholarship.
Application Process for the Commonwealth Shared Scholarship 2024/25
Applications to the CSC must be made using the CSC’s online application system. Applicants can apply for more than one course and to more than one university; however, they may only accept one offer of a shared scholarship.
