Who Does Not Need a Slovenia Work Visa?

You are exempt from applying for Slovenia Long Stay (D) Visa if:

• You are an EU/EEA citizen.
• Your family member is a Slovenian citizen.
• You are from a non-EU/EEA country but have a permanent residence permit.
• You are from a non-EU/EEA country, but you have long-term residency from another EU country and have lived in Slovenia for at least one year.

People from all other countries must get a Job offer, a work permit, and a visa if they want to move to Slovenia employment.

Types of Slovenia Work Permits

• ✅ Work Permit for Self-Employed

1) Slovenia Single Work Permit

You can apply for a Single work permit if you have found work in Slovenia and you have a valid contract letter from your employer who offered you a Job.

2) Slovenia Work Permit for Self Employed

Granted to those who plan to establish and operate their own business in Slovenia. You must first register at the Slovenian Business Register. Suitable for entrepreneurs, freelancers, and independent professionals.

3) Slovenia Seasonal Work Visa

To carry out seasonal work in the agriculture and forestry sector for up to 90 days in a calendar year, you must obtain a permit for seasonal work

To carry out seasonal work longer than 90 days in a calendar year, you must obtain a single permit for seasonal work. An application to obtain a single permit for seasonal work may be submitted by you or your employer.

4) EU Blue Card

To qualify for the Blue Card you must be considered a “highly qualified individual” in certain fields. In addition to this, you need to meet the salary requirements, as well as have a valid work contract or binding job offer for highly qualified employment with a duration of at least 1 year.
