Types of Poland Work Permits

Before applying for a work visa, you need to know which type of work permit you need:

  • Type A Permit: This permit is required if you have received a Job offer from a Polish employer, company, or registered business. This is the most common type of permit.
  • Type B Permit: If you are a member/employee of any board company and stay for more than six months in Poland, you will need a type B Permit.
  • Type C Permit: This is an Intra Company Transfer Visa. If your employer sent you to the company branch located in Poland.
  • Type D Permit: If a foreign employer delegates you to Poland to work in export services. The foreign employer must not have a Polish branch.
  • Type E Permit: This permit is for one who does not fit into the above four permits such as self-employment, freelance work, or volunteering.

  • PLN 50: For up to 3 months.
  • PLN 110: For more than 3 months.
  • PLN 200: For type D work permit

Which Work Visa do You Need to Apply for Poland?

A D-type national visa is the only work visa that allows you to stay for more than 90 days but not longer than one year. After the expiry, you will renew your visa.

Poland Work Visa Requirements

  • You must have a Valid passport.
  • A Completed visa application form.
  • Your employer must apply for the work permit and submit an application to the Voivodeship Office on your behalf.
  • Employment letter: You must submit the original letter of employment, signed by your employee and stating your position, salary, and other details of your employment.
  • Police clearance certificate. You must prove that you do not have a criminal background.

How to Apply for the Poland Work Visa?

The following steps are involved:

  1. Get a Job offer
  2. Get a Work Permit
  3. Apply for the Visa at the Polish embassy.

1) Get a Job Offer from a Poland Employer

2) Get a Work Permit Approval

The employer who has offered you a Job must first submit a work permit application to the Voivodeship Office in the region where you will be working.

The Voivodeship Office will grant a work permit. After the approval of the work permit, you can apply for the Visa.

3) Apply for a Visa at the Poland Embassy

You apply for a Poland D Visa visa at the Polish embassy. You must make an appointment first through e-konsulat if you are applying for a work visa.

  • Select your country, make an appointment, and prepare documents.
  • You will pay the Visa application fee.
  • Wait for the Visa Decision.
  • Enter Poland and start working.

All Poland Long Stay D Visa is valid for one year. You can renew it later.
