A fully funded five-day Youth forum in Geneva, Switzerland. Yes. The United Nations Youth for Biosecurity Fellowship 2024 applications are open. The fellowship aims to bring young biosecurity leaders worldwide to learn and deepen their expertise in biosecurity, build leadership skills, think and act, and then Engage in a community. This is a three-month fellowship which also includes a five-day field visit to Geneva, Switzerland from 19 to 23 August 2024.
Participants must have an advanced degree in the life sciences or a related discipline. Candidates with backgrounds in other fields such as social sciences can also apply by showing their interest in Biosecurity. The fellowship is offered by the United Nations Office for Disarmament Affairs (UNODA). Switzerland is like a Heaven on Earth. Do not miss this opportunity. Fellowship Duration and Activities
- The program is 3 months long.
- Fellows participate in an online Biosecurity Diplomacy Workshop (from June 5th to July 5th, 2024) with weekly sessions.
- They also work together on a collaborative project to be presented at a meeting in Geneva in August 2024.
- A five-day visit to Geneva from 19 to 23 August 2024.

Who can Apply?
- Be under the age of 35
- Be a citizen of an eligible country listed here
- Have an advanced degree in life sciences or a related discipline from a recognized university or institution.
- Candidates with backgrounds in other fields such as social sciences can be exceptionally considered.
- Undergraduate students can also apply with proven experience and interest in areas relevant to the Fellowship.
- Female candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
