GIS Consultant
Job Description
- Oversee all the system operations including data management, system administration, technical consulting, reporting, and training.
- Analyze the data from all Gas devices and complete modeling and preparation of report.
- Review and analyze the data using the Data Analysis Tools deployed by the Contractor.
- Date analysis shall compose of identifying relationships between gas concentration and the environmental parameters for any changes.
- Work closely with the users to understand their business activities and workflows and to formulate cost-effective GIS-based solutions.
- Analyzing the business requirements and preparing plans for system upgrading accordingly.
- Understanding the GIS technology used in existing surveys and develop corresponding system operational procedures.
- Investigate the data collection and performing data Q/A and Q/C of gas monitoring.
- Working with GIS staff to solve technical problems and proposing and implementing future enhancements.
- Generating the system activity reports and supervising the implementation of management directions.
- Acting as liaison between the surveying team and the GIS Unit.
- Dedication to work and commitment to work deadlines and quality standards.
- Compliance with the GIS Code of Ethics stated by the GIS Certification Institute
Skills
- Must have Bachelor degree in one of Geography, Geology, Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent.
- Must have minimum of 15 years’ experience in which, at least seven (7) years in similar kind of consultancy services to Oil & Gas Companies.
- Must have in-depth knowledge in Ground Gas Analysis Software(s) and well experienced in the area mapping.
- ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Server Management, Job Tracking, Spatial Analyst, SDE Administration, Map Services Security Management and ArcGIS Data Reviewer and ArcGIS Data Interoperability.
- Excellent English capabilities and communication skills.
- Preferably, knowledge GIS applications in survey field.
- Preferably, knowledge in supervision and technical writing

- التفاني في العمل والالتزام بمواعيد العمل ومعايير الجودة.
- الالتزام بقواعد أخلاقيات نظم المعلومات الجغرافية التي وضعها معهد اعتماد نظم المعلومات الجغرافية
مهارات
- يجب أن يكون حاصلًا على درجة البكالوريوس في أحد تخصصات الجغرافيا أو الجيولوجيا أو علوم الكمبيوتر أو تكنولوجيا المعلومات أو ما يعادلها.
- يجب أن يتمتع بخبرة لا تقل عن 15 عامًا، منها سبع (7) سنوات على الأقل في نوع مماثل من الخدمات الاستشارية لشركات النفط والغاز.
- يجب أن يكون لديك معرفة متعمقة في برامج تحليل الغاز الأرضي وخبرة جيدة في رسم خرائط المنطقة.
- ArcGIS Desktop وإدارة ArcGIS Server وتتبع الوظائف والمحلل المكاني وإدارة SDE وإدارة أمان خدمات الخرائط ومراجع بيانات ArcGIS وقابلية التشغيل البيني لبيانات ArcGIS.
